Regular Verbs
Spanish regular verbs are divided into three groups based on their endings: -ar, -er, and -ir. Each group follows a set pattern. Here are the endings for each group, using hablar (to speak), comer (to eat), and vivir (to live) as examples.
Irregular Verbs
Spanish irregular verbs do not follow the regular patterns and must be memorized. Here are three common types:
Stem-Changing Verbs
Also known as โboot verbs,โ they change the stem vowel in all forms except nosotros and vosotros.

These verbs have a special yo form.
